TED. Jet for summer camp. Some good sites.
I discovered TED thanks to Peter Gil, during a workshop on Effective Presentations at the the Instituto de Empresa: I shall be eternally grateful to him. I recommend everybody to watch or listen to the presentations of truly original and inspiring individuals. Writers, university researchers, rock stars, piano virtuosos, scientists, environmentalists, stand up comedians, all under one roof, just sharing their passion with the world....
Yesterday, at CNBC news I watched something which made me sick: private jets for children going to summer camp in the U.S. Apparently, some "high net worth individuals", are paying 8.700$ for a 45 minutes flight in a private jet for their children to go to summer camp for a few weeks. The owner of the Jet company selling this services explained how some parents do not want their children to go to summer camp in a 3 or 4 hour bus ride, and they use a Jet plane instead. I´m all for capitalism and the freedom to spend your money however you want, but this is too much....
